Dear Residents, Hillsborough County remains under a mandatory Modified Phase III ("Extreme") Water Shortage Order due to ongoing drought conditions. All residents, including those using private wells, must follow the one-day-per-week watering schedule that has been extended through October 1, 2026. Watering Schedule (Based on House Number): 0–1: Monday 2–3: Tuesday 4–5: Wednesday 6–7: Thursday 8–9: Friday Important Restrictions: Lawn irrigation is limited to your assigned watering day only. Flower beds, shrubs, and trees may be hand-watered or irrigated with micro-irrigation on any day, but only before 8:00 AM or after 6:00 PM. Reclaimed water users may irrigate any day, except 10:00 AM–4:00 PM. Home car washing is allowed only on your watering day and must use a hose with an automatic shutoff nozzle. Routine aesthetic pressure washing is prohibited unless required for health, safety, or preparation for painting/sealing. Decorative fountains are limited to 4 hours per day. Thank you for doing your part to protect our water supply. Please note you will likely see heat stress to the plants and turf in the HOA common areas due to the limited length of time the HOA can water all the landscape areas.
The Board has approved some tree work in the community that will begin this week. The palm fronds will be trimmed on the 6 sabal palms in the community. The 18 dead oak trees will be removed and back filled with dirt. The trees will be cut down and left at the curbs for the yard waste garbage truck to pick up. The week of July 6th the 63 magnolia trees in the community will be trimmed.
Restoring Water Pressure in your Faucets by Cleaning Aerators. A faucet aerator may be found at the end of your kitchen, bathroom, and utility room's waterspout. Aerators add air to your water to reduce splashes and optimize the flow of water. As time goes by, they may get clogged, reducing water pressure. A properly working aerator has multiple purposes, including: Reducing the amount of water that comes out of the faucet. Shaping the stream of water. Maintaining or improving the water pressure. Preventing water from splashing when it hits your hands, the sink, a glass, or anything else. Catching debris and other particles that may have gotten into the water. Tips Plug the drain so you don't lose any small parts. Take the aerator off the end of the faucet. You should be able to unscrew it with a wrench or pliers. Covering the pliers with electrical tape will keep them from damaging the aerator. Clean the aerator screen and parts. You can use a toothbrush and water to scrub debris off the pieces. Be sure the holes in the screen are clear. Soaking the aerator parts overnight in white vinegar will remove lime scale and calcium build-up from hard water. As you take the aerator apart to clean it pay attention to which order and how they fit. That will make it easier to put them back together when you're done. If a lot of the parts are broken or cracked, it's usually best to take the aerator to a hardware or home improvement store to get a replacement. Reassemble the aerator and screw it back on the faucet. It doesn't have to be very tight. If water leaks above the aerator after you've hand-tightened it, use the pliers to give it a small turn.
